Genesis - Dragonglass

Born of Earth and Fire

Some things are older than memory. Beneath our Napa Valley estate lies a ribbon of obsidian close to four thousand years old - volcanic glass, born where earth once met fire - running through the clay soils that give our name its meaning. Dragonglass did not begin with a vineyard, but with a question the luxury wine world had never dared to ask - what would a great wine house look like if it were founded today, owing nothing to border or convention? Our answer became All World: a single wine drawn across two continents, where the obsidian and clay of California are married to the ancient soul of Spain.

That soul lives in Toro, where our ungrafted vines have stood for more than a hundred and forty years, old enough to have survived the phylloxera plague that devastated the majority of Europe’s vines in the nineteenth century. From these two origins comes a rare wine: the daring of California reconciled with the deep memory of Spain, in a single glass. Roberto Uzcategui and Trevor Healy built Dragonglass on one belief - that the truest luxury is access, scarcity, human connection and unforgettable experiences.

Produced in extremely limited numbers, each release is claimed almost before it is poured. Our wines grace a deliberate circle of the world's most exceptional venues - Michelin dining rooms, celebrated hotels, luxury maisons - and rest in the cellars of collectors who prize the story in a bottle as keenly as the wine within. Here, belonging is a matter of allocation, not availability: offered to the few refined enough to know it, and adventurous enough to seek it.

Philosophy - DRAGONGLASS

An Ancient Soul, A Philosophy Entirely Our Own

Long before fine wine had a name, the winemakers of the Roman Empire understood its soul. They ranked their finest vineyards as “first growths,” revered wines built to age and prized more with each passing year, and pruned with discipline to favor quality over abundance. At Dragonglass, we carry their wisdom forward - honoring timeless tradition while embracing modern innovation.

In the vineyard, we farm organically, letting the land follow its natural cycles and tending each vine with devotion. In the cellar, we make wine not by textbook but by vintage - shaping our craft to the gifts of each year in pursuit of the rare equilibrium of power, elegance, and finesse. Quality is never sacrificed for quantity.

We make the wine we love - for ourselves and those dear to us. That it is embraced by private collectors and the world’s most distinguished hospitality venues is our quiet privilege. And we remain stewards of the extraordinary terroirs in our care, preserving them for the generations to come.
