DRAGONGLASS NAPA VALLEY ESTATE
At the heart of our Napa Valley Estate lies 3,900-year-old obsidian rock — a silent guardian of time, anchoring the soul of Dragonglass.
What began as a dream nearly 20 years ago became a quest for something rare: a terroir worthy of legends. That search led us to a hidden valley where earth and fire have shaped a landscape of quiet power.
Our search for a truly iconic terroir to plant our favorite Clone of Cabernet Sauvignon led us to an extraordinary microsite in Napa Valley. Set against a breathtaking landscape, the land revealed something rare: volcanic soils rich in clay and obsidian.
This unique composition delivers a distinctive mineral elegance and linear precision to our wines. We completed micronutrient soil testing to predict potential micronutrient deficiencies. To our surprise there was none and the soil “as-is” was a perfect placement for grapes.
We knew in that moment: this was not just land. It was destiny.

Born from a relentless passion for excellence, this project pays tribute to one of the world’s most exceptional terroirs – home to some of the oldest vines on Earth – crafted to deliver truly iconic wines for the most discerning palates.
For over 40 years, our CEO & Co-Founder Roberto Uzcategui has admired the supreme character of this region’s ancient vines.
Our admiration for this extraordinary terroir spans decades. Its naturally low yields, intense fruit concentration, stunning tannin structure, vibrant acidity, and deep minerality – shaped by a rare microclimate – combine to create wines of exceptional quality, character, and remarkable aging potential.
After years of study and deep appreciation for this remarkable terroir, we embarked on a journey to craft our own wines – a pursuit defined by passion, precision, and timeless elegance.
We endured a long and winding journey, overcoming countless challenges along the way. But every step was worth the craft to create something rare here power meets finesse and the spirit of this microsite shines uniquely. In every glass, history and heritage flow, and we take pride in having endured this journey for you.
We discovered ancient pre-phylloxera vines, some over 140 years old which yield tiny harvests – sometimes less than 1.5 kg of fruit per vine – but the quality of the berries is exceptional. Deep roots reaching through tumbled sandstone and clay soils, paired with unique climatic conditions, gift our wines with striking minerality, refined tannins, vibrant acidity, and sensational flavor concentration.

Nestled in a unique microclimate with stunning views over the vineyards, we found this incredible architectural creation dating back to the fifteenth century – with some parts constructed as far back as the
Roman times.
In the fifteenth century, one of the great architects of that period completed the "Roman villa", a fortified farm for the regional monks which was also used for agricultural functions such as the storage of wine, grain and saffron.
