01
Viticulture
Sourced from ancestor vines of over 140 years of age — ungrafted, pre-phylloxera plantings on their original roots.
Exclusively manual harvest with rigorous pre-selection at the vineyard, followed by meticulous table selection. Continental climate with Atlantic influences; stony, sandy and clay-rich soils of tumbled sandstone, clay and limestone conglomerate at 700–800 m altitude.
02
Vinification & Élevage
Aged 28 months in new French oak, followed by 18 months in larger used French oak barrels to enhance integration and elegance. Malolactic fermentation took place in French oak barrels. This rare wine combines power, elegance and remarkable longevity.
03
Tasting Analysis
Deep purple with exceptional clarity and depth, it opens gradually to reveal floral notes of rose petals, lavender and violets layered over black cherries, graphite, truffle and eucalyptus.
The palate is vibrant and refined, showing blueberry, strawberry, black cherry, toffee, cocoa and dark chocolate. Full-bodied yet refined, it balances concentration, velvety tannins, freshness and tension, followed by a long, mineral-driven finish marked by graphite and smoky nuances.
04
Cellaring & Service
Multi-dimensional and highly expressive, it delivers both immediate enjoyment and extraordinary aging potential. Decanting is recommended to fully appreciate its complexity and finesse. Under optimal cellar conditions, it will evolve gracefully for decades.
