Sourced from ancestor vines of over 130 years of age — ungrafted, pre-phylloxera plantings on their original roots.

Exclusively manual harvest with rigorous pre-selection at the vineyard, followed by meticulous table selection. Continental climate with Atlantic influences; stony, sandy and clay-rich soils of tumbled sandstone, clay and limestone conglomerate at 700–800 m altitude.

Aged for 28 months in new French oak, then transferred to larger used French oak barrels to enhance harmony and refinement. Malolactic fermentation took place in French oak barrels.

Deep ruby in color showing striking clarity. The bouquet is focused, layered, and exceptionally elegant. Soaring aromas of violets and dried rose petals interlaced with graphite, dark chocolate, and orange peel. Notes of blackcurrant, cassis, menthol and a touch of peppermint add freshness and lift.

The palate is full-bodied with well-defined tannins and beautifully integrated oak. Stunning minerality is present from the first sip. The wine becomes incredibly long and focused with a deep and round finish after some time in the glass. Rich, elegant and sophisticated.

Drink now with proper decanting, or cellar for graceful aging. Crafted to age gracefully for decades under optimal cellar conditions.
