Viticulture
Sourced from centenary vines of over 100 years of age, grown on their own ungrafted rootstock.
Exclusively manual harvest with rigorous pre-selection at the vineyard, followed by meticulous table selection. Continental climate with Atlantic influences; stony, sandy and clay-rich soils of tumbled sandstone, clay and limestone conglomerate at 700–800 m altitude.

Vinification & Élevage
Aged for 24 months in new French oak to achieve maximum roundness and elegance. Malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels.

Tasting Analysis
Deep purple in color with dark ruby reflections. Intense and rich nose with very expressive and predominant layers of black fruit, espresso, smoked meat, incense, graphite and lavender.
On the palate is full-bodied, beautifully extracted and balanced. Dark fruit flavors dominate and offer outstanding clarity and thrust, with blackberry flavors joined by candied licorice, Medjool dates and dark chocolate. Delicious, round and chalky tannins add structure and focus while showing sensational minerality and complexity.
